CELPIP discount code, promo code and voucher: what is real
Paragon, which runs CELPIP, does not publish a promo or discount code on any page we read. What does exist is a $300 cashback from National Bank of Canada for newcomers (with conditions, and you have to repay part of it if you do not keep the account for 12 months), a list of authorised voucher sellers, and cheaper bundle pricing on practice tests. We list each one with the rules.
We never list a code on this page. A code with no source is a way to lose money. Everything here is quoted from Paragon, from the bank that partners with it, or from a store page, and we say who said what.
What we checked and what we found
No public code. Three real things that work like one.
Paragon is the company that runs CELPIP. We read its pages on fees, payment, registration, policies, test day, results, vouchers, prep providers and its study materials store. None of them mentions a promo code or a discount code for the test. The payment FAQ lists the cards and wallets it accepts and says nothing about a code.
We read these pages on 2 and 3 October 2026.
There are three real things that people mean when they search for a CELPIP code. They are the National Bank of Canada cashback, Paragon's list of authorised voucher sellers, and bundle pricing on practice tests. Each has its own section below. The rest of this page is about how to avoid paying for something that is not real.
The National Bank of Canada $300 cashback
A bank offer, in partnership with CELPIP, for newcomers.
This is the one discount-style offer that Paragon publicly points to. Paragon posted about it on its own site:
"We are excited to announce our partnership with the National Bank of Canada, and support our test takers with a $300 cashback offer!"
The offer itself belongs to the bank, and the bank's page sets the rules. Here is what it says, row by row.
| Rule | What the bank says |
|---|---|
| What it is | Get a helping hand to cover the cost of your CELPIP or CAEL language tests. |
| How long it runs | Promotion period November 5, 2025, to November 3, 2026 |
| Who can apply | Be a newcomer and at least 18 years of age or older, and “Be the only account user” |
| When you can apply | Apply to open an account from your home country up to 90 days before you arrive in Canada, or within 5 years of your arrival |
| Which newcomers | The offer for newcomers is open to permanent residents, temporary workers and international students |
| How to claim it | Open a first chequing account as the main account holder using the redirection link on CELPIP site and sign up for the offer for newcomers. |
| What you must do within 120 days | Sign up for online banking, carry out 20 eligible transactions, and receive 3 eligible automatic deposits of at least $100 each, according to a schedule: “1st deposit: within the first 60 days after opening the chequing account.” “2nd deposit: between 60 and 89 days after opening the chequing account.” “3rd deposit: between 90 and 120 days after opening the chequing account.” The bank lists which deposit types count, for example “Payroll Deposit (200)” and “Pension (230)”. |
| Which transactions do not count | The following transactions are excluded: Refund of purchases (Interac®) Reimbursement of fees Flat monthly fee Account handling charges |
| How long you keep the account | You need to keep the new chequing account for at least 12 months starting when the chequing account is opened. If you don’t meet this condition, you’ll have to reimburse a portion of the cashback for the product you didn’t maintain corresponding to the period still remaining. |
| Good standing | You must keep your National Bank chequing account in good standing until the cashback is paid. The bank says an account is not in good standing if it is overdrawn (an unauthorized negative balance) or has been used in an inappropriate, unauthorized, illegal or abusive manner. |
| Package or offer | Maintain this package or offer for at least 120 days after opening the new chequing account. |
| If you already bank there | Must not have a chequing account, CAD Progress Account, or several other listed accounts, and must not have had a National Bank High Interest Savings Account, alone or jointly in the past 36 months. |
| Stacking | This promotion cannot be combined with any other National Bank cashback promotion applicable to chequing accounts or banking packages. |
| Can it change | This promotion may be modified or withdrawn without prior notice. |
Five of these rules can cost you money if you miss them: the deposit windows, the deposit types that count, being the only account user, keeping the account in good standing until the cashback is paid, and the 12-month rule, where you have to repay part of the cashback if you do not keep the account. Check each one against your own situation before you open the account. The bank's promotion period ends on November 3, 2026. If you are reading this after that date, assume the offer is over unless the bank's page says otherwise.
The bank also says the cashback is paid into the new account later, and the date depends on when you opened it. For an account opened between October 1 and October 31, 2026, the bank's table says the cashback is deposited by April 15, 2027. The bank adds: “To claim the $300 cashback, you must apply to open an account directly from this page.” Our reading: that is two instructions, so start from the link on Paragon's CELPIP page and apply from the bank's offer page. Opening an account somewhere else on the bank's site may not qualify.
Our reading: this is not a code and it does not lower the fee at the booking page. You pay the full test fee when you book, and the bank pays up to $300 later if you meet every condition. The bank's page gives an end date but no time of day, so do not leave it to the last day. Open a bank account only if you want that bank account. This is not financial advice.
Authorised CELPIP voucher sellers
Paragon names who may sell test vouchers.
"We partner with preparation providers and agents that are authorized to sell CELPIP test vouchers."
"Only the organizations listed below are authorized providers:"
| Country | Providers Paragon lists |
|---|---|
| Australia | Vision Language Experts |
| Canada | ApplyBoard |
| China | Edulink, Joinaward Training School, Shentong Education, XSD Study Abroad |
| India | ApplyBoard, iLogicTech, Nationwide Visas, OSS Education, The English Advantage, Sardar Patel B Ed College, SattvaQ IT Solutions Pvt Ltd, StormEdugo |
| Nepal | OSS Education |
| Singapore | UCA English |
| Sri Lanka | OSS Education |
| Thailand | OSS Education |
Paragon does not say what a voucher costs or whether it is cheaper than booking directly, so ask the seller for the total price.
Ask any voucher seller these questions before you pay. They are our checklist.
- Are you on Paragon's list for my country, as it reads today?
- What is the total I pay, in my own currency, compared with the price on the booking page?
- How do I use the voucher, and who books the date, me or you?
- What happens if I need to move the date?
- How does the booking get made, and can you show me the booking confirmation before I pay in full?
Discounts for CELPIP Network members
These are for organisations, not for individual test takers.
Paragon runs a programme for preparation providers and agents. Its voucher page lists “Exclusive Pricing & Discounts” among the benefits. The discount is on study materials bought in bulk quantities, and it goes to members.
"Many other practice tests are available for purchase on the CELPIP store, with discounts available for Network members."
Our reading: if you study with a preparation provider, ask whether it is a Network member and whether it can pass on any saving on practice tests. It does not have to, and Paragon does not say that it does.
Practice test bundles cost less per test
Single sets against bundles, with the prices on the store page.
Paragon's store sells practice test sets one by one and in bundles. The bundles cost less per test. The prices are in Canadian dollars as shown on the store page. Paragon also says there are no refunds or exchanges on study materials.
| Product | Price on the store page |
|---|---|
| General practice tests, one set (two tests) | CAD 35.00 |
| General bundle, Sets 2-7 (12 online practice tests) | CAD 155.00 |
| General bundle, Sets 8-13 (12 online practice tests) | CAD 155.00 |
| General bundle, Sets 2-13 (24 online practice tests) | CAD 275.00 |
| LS practice tests, one set (two tests) | CAD 25.00 |
| LS bundle, Sets 2-7 (12 practice tests) | CAD 110.00 |
| LS bundle, Sets 2-13 (24 practice tests) | CAD 195.00 |
Our arithmetic: six single sets at CAD 35 come to CAD 210, against CAD 155 for the Sets 2-7 bundle. Twelve single sets come to CAD 420, against CAD 275 for the Sets 2-13 bundle. For LS, six single sets at CAD 25 come to CAD 150, against CAD 110, and twelve come to CAD 300, against CAD 195. Single sets cost less than the Sets 2-7 bundle if you need four sets or fewer: four General sets come to CAD 140 against CAD 155, and four LS sets to CAD 100 against CAD 110. From five sets up, that bundle costs less. Against the Sets 2-13 bundle, single sets cost less up to seven sets (CAD 245 General, CAD 175 LS) and more from eight (CAD 280 General, CAD 200 LS). The bundles start at Set 2, so Set 1 is not part of any bundle.
Ways to avoid paying twice
Most of the money lost on CELPIP is a missed rule, not a missed code.
A discount code would save you a small part of the fee. A missed rule can cost all of it. These are Paragon's own rules on money and dates.
| Situation | What Paragon says |
|---|---|
| You cancel at least 7 days ahead | Paragon will grant your cancellation request and provide you with a refund of fifty percent (50%) of the fee you paid for the Test Session registration. |
| You cancel with less than 7 days left | you will not receive any refund of the fee that you paid for the cancelled Test Session registration. |
| You move the date | Transfers must be made at least seven (7) days before the test date. Paragon's FAQ says: “First transfer is free; subsequent transfer fee is $50.00 or equivalent (plus applicable taxes).” Its policy page also says a granted transfer carries “a transfer fee of $50.00 CAD plus applicable taxes”. Check the price before you confirm. |
| You arrive late | Latecomers will be denied entrance to the test and will NOT be eligible for a refund or transfer. |
| You bring the wrong ID | you will not be allowed to take the test, and you will not be able to transfer your test or receive a refund. |
| You want to retake soon | Paragon's policy page and FAQ say: “You may register for no more than one Test Session within five (5) calendar days.” Its city pages say sessions must be “at least four (4) calendar days apart from each other”. A booking that breaks the rule is “subject to cancellation by Paragon”. |
| You pay for it | Full payment must be made with one card only. |
The registration, ID and arrival rules are explained on our CELPIP registration and account page, and the fee on our CELPIP test price in Canada page.
How to spot a fake CELPIP code
Our checklist.
- Only buy through the owner. Book and pay on the official CELPIP site, or through a seller on Paragon's own voucher list. If a code needs you to pay a stranger first, walk away.
- A code list on a coupon site is not from Paragon. Paragon's pages that we read do not mention a promo code box, so a list of “working codes” has no source.
- Do not share your CELPIP Account password. Nobody legitimate needs it to apply a code or voucher.
- Beware of “guaranteed score” and “real exam question” offers. Our reading: a seller who promises either is selling something the test owner treats as a risk, see the quote below.
- Keep evidence. Save the booking confirmation email and the voucher seller's receipt.
Common questions
Not one that Paragon publishes. None of the Paragon pages we read mentions a promo or discount code. What exists is a National Bank of Canada cashback for newcomers, a list of authorised voucher sellers, and bundle pricing on practice tests.
We found no promo code. The National Bank of Canada says its $300 cashback offer for newcomers runs from November 5, 2025, to November 3, 2026, and is claimed by opening an account through the link on the CELPIP site.
We found no code. Paragon's post about the National Bank of Canada partnership is dated May 4, 2025, and the bank's current promotion period starts on November 5, 2025.
There is no public code to get. In Canada, the offer that exists is the National Bank cashback for newcomers. Paragon also lists ApplyBoard as an authorised voucher seller for Canada. Paragon does not say its vouchers are cheaper than booking directly.
No. It is cashback paid into a new chequing account after you meet the bank's conditions, for example 20 eligible transactions and 3 eligible automatic deposits of at least $100 each, in set windows within 120 days. You must keep the account 12 months or repay part of it. You still pay the full test fee when you book.
Yes, if the seller is on Paragon's list. Paragon says it partners with preparation providers and agents that are authorized to sell CELPIP test vouchers, and that only the organizations it lists are authorized providers.
Start with the free practice test that comes with a CELPIP Account (Paragon's prep-providers page says it is one set of 2 tests, another page says a free practice test), then buy a bundle. Paragon's store lists the General Sets 2-13 bundle (24 online practice tests) at CAD 275.00, against CAD 35.00 for a single set of two tests. Network members get discounts on practice tests, according to Paragon.
