CELPIP registration, your CELPIP account and results

Last verified 4 Oct 2026 against celpip.ca, celpip.ca, celpip.ca
SHORT ANSWER

You register for the CELPIP test online in your CELPIP Account. Paragon, the company that runs the test, says the test centres do not take registrations. Scores usually appear in the same account 2-4 business days after the test, though Paragon's overview page says 3-4.

This page covers the account side of CELPIP: registering, paying, what to know before test day, where your scores appear and how to change or cancel a booking. Every rule below is Paragon's own wording, with the page it comes from.

NOT ADVICERequirements change. Confirm on the official IRCC page before you book a test or submit your application.

Cards accepted onlineOnline: VISA®, MasterCard®, American Express®. Paragon's FAQ also says it accepts payments through Stripe. Through Stripe, it supports “Credit and Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB” and “Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay and WeChat”. “Note: Availability of specific methods depends on the customer’s location and currency.”
More than one booking (policy page and FAQ)You may register for no more than one Test Session within five (5) calendar days. Test session registrations that violate this rule are subject to cancellation by Paragon.
More than one booking (city pages)You may register for more than one test session only if all test sessions are at least four (4) calendar days apart from each other. Test session registrations that violate this rule are subject to cancellation by Paragon.
Under 18If you are under 18, please fill out our CELPIP Registration Form for Minors. Registration by mail and payment by money order are “applicable to minors only for registrations in Canada”.

Our reading: Paragon's own pages give two versions of the retake gap, so the safer plan is to leave at least five days between sittings.

Before test day

Arrival time, photos and name changes.

Paragon says the name, date of birth and passport details on your registration must match exactly the valid, unexpired ID you show on the day, or you may be refused entry with no refund or transfer. Paragon's rules on arriving, photos and changes to your details are below.

QuestionWhat Paragon says
Can I arrive late?Unfortunately not. You must arrive 45 MINUTES prior to the start of your CELPIP Test. Check-in for your test closes 15 MINUTES before the scheduled start time. If you arrive after this time, you will be denied entrance to the CELPIP Test and will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.
Do I need a photo? No. You do not need to submit a photo of yourself as a part of your application or on the day of your CELPIP Test.
Can I change my name or passport details? To update the registration details (i.e. name, date of birth, passport information), please contact our office by email at least seven (7) days in advance of your test sitting to submit a formal request to have it amended.

Transfer with less than 7 days leftIf your transfer request is received by Paragon less than seven (7) calendar days before the date of the Test Session contact Paragon’s customer service at 778-327-6854 or [email protected]. Paragon in its discretion may require that you support your transfer request with appropriate documentation (e.g. doctor’s note or evidence of bereavement) confirming the reason for the transfer request in form and content satisfactory to Paragon.

Paragon's pages do not agree on the transfer fee. Its policy page and its FAQ say the first transfer is free and later ones cost CAD $50 plus taxes. Further down, the same policy page says a granted transfer carries a fee of $50.00 CAD plus applicable taxes, and Paragon's city pages and its Canada page carry only that paid version. Paragon also says it decides whether a transfer is free, paid or refused. Check the price on the transfer screen before you confirm.

Fees for each CELPIP test type are on the CELPIP test price in Canada page.
