PTE Core coupon codes and discounts in Canada
Pearson, the company that runs PTE Core, does not list a coupon code on any page we read. Its booking guide says where one would go: “If you have a voucher or promo code, now is when you’ll enter it.” That is the payment step. We list no codes because we cannot source one.
This page sets out what Pearson actually says about promo codes and vouchers, where a code goes when you book, and the real ways to spend less on PTE Core. It lists no codes, because there is nothing we can verify.
What Pearson says about codes and vouchers
A promo code is typed in at checkout. A voucher is a test paid for in advance.
Pearson runs PTE Core. Its booking guide covers every PTE test, and it mentions a code in one place only, the payment step.
"If you have a voucher or promo code, now is when you’ll enter it."
Pearson also publishes a page about vouchers. It explains what a voucher is, and the explanation matters.
"Test vouchers or gift cards are unique codes that are redeemable for the full value of a test."
Our reading: a voucher is a test you bought in advance, not a percentage taken off the fee. A promo code is a different thing, a reduction applied at checkout. Pearson's pages do not say what a voucher or promo code is worth, so check the final price on the last screen before you submit the order.
| Pearson page | What it says about codes |
|---|---|
| How to book your PTE exam | If you have a voucher or promo code, now is when you’ll enter it. |
| ApplyBoard PTE voucher redemption | Test vouchers or gift cards are unique codes that are redeemable for the full value of a test. |
| Test centers and fees | PTE works with voucher resellers in some countries. Find trusted resellers in your country. |
| Official Guide to PTE Core | Got a voucher? Redeem your code |
| Rescore policy | If a paid technical review finds a fault: ‘If you used a voucher to pay for your test, a free credit voucher will be provided.’ |
None of these pages lists a coupon code for PTE Core. We did not find one on any other Pearson page we read, so this page lists none.
Who sells vouchers, and where
Pearson's reseller list covers two countries.
"PTE works with voucher resellers in some countries. Find trusted resellers in your country."
- Nigeria: Find official PTE voucher resellers in Nigeria.
- China: Find official PTE voucher resellers in China.
Canada is not on that list. Pearson's voucher partner page names one partner and says who it is for:
"Pearson has partnered with ApplyBoard Test Solutions in order to supply PTE test vouchers to aspiring international students."
That page is about vouchers sold through ApplyBoard. It does not say the vouchers cover PTE Core or bookings in Canada. Before you pay anyone for a voucher, ask Pearson's support to confirm the voucher works for the test and the country you are booking.
How to enter a code when you book
Use Pearson's own checkout and nothing else.
These are the booking steps in Pearson's May 2024 guide, in Pearson's words, except step three, where the guide says passport and we have added what Pearson's identification policy lists. The code goes in at step five.
- Choose a center and select a date and time at least 24 hours in advance, then click on 'Book'.
- To continue with your booking, you’ll now need to create a myPTE account.
- Make sure your details exactly match your valid ID. Pearson's identification policy lists a passport (accepted anywhere and preferred) or a Canadian Permanent Resident Card (accepted in Canada only) for PTE Core. If you hold a Refugee Protection Claimant Document or another CIC document such as IMM 1442, the policy tells you to complete its application form before you schedule your test.
- Agree to PTE policies (Admission, Reschedule and Cancellation).
- Pay for your test. You can pay with American Express, Discover, Mastercard or Visa. If you have a voucher or promo code, now is when you’ll enter it.
- Finally, review your test appointment details and payment information, then click on ‘Submit Order’.
The voucher page gives the same step from the voucher side, and one warning worth repeating:
- Click ‘Add a voucher or promo code’ to redeem your voucher.
- it is important that you do not create multiple accounts, as this may impact your ability to take the test on the day you book.
Check your name before you pay. Pearson is firm about it:
"VERY IMPORTANT: You will need to present your passport at the test center when you take your test. If your account details do not match your passport, you will not be allowed to take the test and will not be eligible for a refund."
Pearson's identification policy lists a passport, or in Canada only a Canadian Permanent Resident Card, for PTE Core. Whichever ID you use, the details on it must match your booking.
The fee a code would reduce
So you can spot a deal that is too good.
| Item | What Pearson shows |
|---|---|
| PTE Core fee in Canada (Pearson's price data) | CA$ 360.00 CAD |
| Why the fee differs by country | The fees for PTE Core vary depending on the country in which you choose to take your test. |
| How you pay | Pay for your test. You can pay with American Express, Discover, Mastercard or Visa. |
Our PTE Core price page has the dates and the fee in one place: PTE Core price and exam dates in Canada.
Our reading: if someone offers PTE Core far below that fee, ask why. Book in your own myPTE account with your own card. Do not send your passport details, a payment or your login to a third party.
Real ways to spend less on PTE Core
None of these needs a code.
Cancel early and keep your money
| When you cancel | What Pearson's policy page says |
|---|---|
| More than 14 days before the test | You will receive a 100% refund of your test fee. |
| Between 14 days and more than 7 days before | You will receive a 50% refund of your test fee. |
| 7 days or fewer before | You will not receive a refund. |
Pearson's PTE Core help page words the free window a little differently. It says: “14 or more days before the test: cancel for free.” The policy page says more than 14 days. Pearson's two pages disagree on day 14, so plan to cancel with more than 14 days to spare. You can also move your date instead of cancelling:
"you can reschedule for free up to 14 days before your test date"
Pearson's two pages disagree here as well. Its cancellation policy says free rescheduling needs more than 14 full calendar days left, and that with 14 days or less you must cancel and book a new appointment. So move the date with more than 14 days to spare.

On the Pearson pages we read, the only published discounts are on preparation, not on the test
"Save up to $45 USD when you buy a package of PTE Core premium prep together"

|---|---|
| Bronze | Original price: $65.98. Discount: Save $5.99. Selling price: 59.99 USD |
| Silver | Original price: $115.97. Discount: Save $35.98. Selling price: 79.99 USD |
| Gold | Original price: $134.96. Discount: Save $44.97. Selling price: 89.99 USD |
If you think a technical fault affected your Speaking score, you can pay US$50 for a technical review, which you must request by phone within 15 business days of getting your results. If the review finds a fault, Pearson refunds the test fee and the review fee, and gives a free credit voucher if you paid with a voucher. If it finds no fault, you do not get the US$50 or the test fee back.
"If the technical review identifies technical issues in your audio recordings, your test fee will be refunded. If you used a voucher to pay for your test, a free credit voucher will be provided."
Coupon websites
What to make of the long lists.
Coupon sites list codes for PTE all the time. We cannot check them, and we could not find one on any Pearson page. Only Pearson's checkout can accept or refuse a code, and we cannot say what support you would get from a third-party seller if a code fails. If you try one, try it at checkout before you commit, and never pay a third party for a code.
This page is not immigration advice. Pearson's own pages decide what a code is worth and whether your booking qualifies.
Common questions
We did not find one. Pearson's booking guide says a voucher or promo code goes in at payment, but none of the Pearson pages we read lists a code. We do not list codes we cannot source.
At the payment step of your booking in your myPTE account. Pearson says: “If you have a voucher or promo code, now is when you’ll enter it.”
Pearson's list of voucher resellers names Nigeria and China only. It says: “PTE works with voucher resellers in some countries.” Canada is not named, so ask Pearson before you buy a voucher from anyone.
Pearson's price data shows CA$ 360.00 CAD for PTE Core. The fee varies by country. Our PTE Core price page has the details.
Yes, if you cancel early enough. Pearson's refund policy: more than 14 days before the test is a 100% refund, between 14 days and more than 7 days is a 50% refund, and 7 days or fewer is no refund.
You can pay US$50 for a technical review of your Speaking recordings. If it finds a fault, Pearson refunds your test fee and your review fee, and says: “If you used a voucher to pay for your test, a free credit voucher will be provided.” If it finds no fault, neither fee is refunded.
Yes. Pearson says its Official PTE Core AI Practice is “Free to start, no payment required.” It includes a Speaking and Writing diagnostic and a Reading and Listening diagnostic.
